The CheckCV "How it works" section: three numbered steps — Upload CVs (drag and drop or bulk upload in PDF, DOCX or TXT), AI Analysis (extracts skills, experience and insights), and Actionable Reports (scoring, ranked candidates and PII-redacted reports).

How it works

Three steps from inbox to shortlist.

  1. The CheckCV Bulk Upload screen: a drag-and-drop area for a batch of CVs in PDF, DOCX or TXT.
    01

    Upload a batch

Drop a folder of CVs in PDF, DOCX or TXT. Each file is parsed into the same structure.

    • A folder at a time — PDF, DOCX or TXT
    • Every file parsed into the same structure
    • Progress per file, so a big batch is not a black box
  2. The CheckCV CV Queue screen: five parsed CVs with their processing state, plus the status filter and sort.
    02

    Score against your rubric

Your organisation sets the weights once. Every reviewer scores the same way, and every change is in the audit trail.

    • Weights set once per organisation, tier-aware
    • The same rubric for every reviewer
    • A weighted rubric, not one generic score
  3. The CheckCV Candidate Pipeline screen: a board of candidates by hiring stage, each with a score.
    03

    Export under your brand

Shortlists go out with your logo and colours, personal data redacted where the client should not see it.

    • Your logo, your colours, your template
    • A shortlist per client, from the same pipeline
    • Job matching with compatibility scoring

Ask about CheckCV
Who it is for

Built for three kinds of team.

01

Staffing agencies

You format and score CVs for clients every day and send shortlists under your own brand.

02

In-house recruiting

You run high-volume intake and need reviewers to score against one rubric.

03

HR and compliance

You need an audit trail of how each candidate was scored, and personal data kept out of client-facing files.

Capabilities

What it does.

01

Multi-format parsing

PDF, DOCX, TXT with intelligent text extraction. Same parser as TuneCV, hardened for batch processing.

02

Weighted rubric scoring

Custom scoring rubric per organization. Tier-aware weights, audit trail, settings editor. Every score is reproducible.

03

Job matching

AI-powered compatibility scoring between candidate CVs and your open roles. Surface high-fit candidates first.

04

Candidate pipeline

HR suite: pipeline, interviews, offers, onboarding. Every stage logged with comments and document attachments.

05

White-label branding

Per-organization theme, logo, and domain. Buyer-facing configuration with no engineering involvement.

06

Internationalization

7 locales via next-intl. Per-organization language defaults that match your hiring geographies.

Case study

How this product came about, and where it actually stands.

Problem. Recruiters handle high-volume CV intake. Format normalization and rubric scoring eat hours per week. Per-organization scoring rubrics drift between reviewers.

Approach. Multi-format parsing with AI scoring. Custom scoring rubric per organization with tier-aware weights and audit trail. Job matching with compatibility scoring. White-label branding per buyer. 7-locale i18n via next-intl. Tauri 2 desktop shell for offline review.

Status as of October 2026. Stack selected and pinned on 28 July 2026. Authentication integration complete. Billing-provider sandbox products created. Ship-readiness audit completed 31 July 2026 — all 12 dimensions populated with concrete evidence, with the caveats tracked. Cookie consent, terms and imprint, and the canonical `checkcv.co` domain are shipped. Privacy, DPA, terms, imprint, trust and compliance routes are live. Billing sandbox and webhook tested end to end; DPO and legal counsel sign-off on the draft legal pages is pending.
